The Personal Employment Permit is applicable to foreign professionals who wish to work in Singapore but are not bound by their employer, as well as high-income Employment Permit (EP) holders. Compared to the Employment Permit, the Personal Employment Permit has greater flexibility but is valid for up to 3 years and cannot be renewed thereafter.
